Advertisements and propaganda look similar. Both of them try to persuade human thinking but advertisement and propaganda are not the same.

Advertisement

The aim of the advertisement is to persuade potential customers. It commonly uses multimedia methods, magazines, billboards, newspapers, televisions, and online, to promote activities, services, or products.

Propaganda

The aim of propaganda is to change people’s attitudes and perceptions toward service, goods, or beliefs. The common type of propaganda is political propaganda. Other areas that propaganda can apply to is religion, racism, drugs, sexuality, and health.
